    [NBD] Custom Carvin Bass

That's a nice bass! Thanks for the clarification. I knew it was a custom instrument to some extent, but upon hearing the combined input here, I think your deduction is correct. In any case, it's still a nice player and looks pretty darn good in my opinion, and that's the important thing.

    [NBD] Custom Carvin Bass

The headstock doesn't appear to be Carvin, however the electronics, pickups, bridge, and body style all appear to be Carvin, I found an LB 70 for sale on Chicago Music Exchange that is very similar in appearance aside from the headstock, maybe it was a custom order or modified after being...

    [NBD] Custom Carvin Bass

Just acquired this sweet custom Carvin... something locally off Facebook marketplace for $400. I've always wanted a neck through bass like this, and honestly I've always been a fan of Carvin instruments (I however, am not much of a fan of their amps these days...) The action is set low enough to...

Does anyone else have a hard time getting rid of gear?

Bass guitars I have a lot more of a hard time getting rid of than Amps/Cabs/Pedals, etc. Basses are much more unique, they all play, sound, feel, and look different. About everything else is replaceable. Equipment like amps, for example, are all wired and put into boxes exactly the same way to...

Show your Jazz's with maple boards... feed my GAS!!!

I'm honestly not entirely sure, there's not a whole lot of info online about Aria's. I believe it might be an Alder body, however.

1970's Aria Mach 1 Jazz, love this bass! Has a very nice look to it and plays great.

    MiJ J-basses quality nowadays?

I own a 1985 Fender MiJ Jazz Bass Special and a MiJ 93-94 62' Jazz RI. Both wonderful sounding and playing instruments. Right now my main player is my 62 RI', the fender Japan stuff is top notch. I'm sure the new stuff is great, my dad owns a more modern MiJ 70's RI that plays as good, if not...

Thrift-Store Score - 40 Year Old Aria Bass with HS Case for $35!

That's funny, until now I thought the Aria Mach 1's only had Maple Fretboards. These are actually pretty rare, my Aria Mach 1 is one of my favorite basses. That's a hell of a steal for $35 man, I love vintage Aria instruments like this.Aria Headstock by moshspeggeti posted Aug 26, 2016 at 1:42...

    Whats your dream bass?

They're great basses, no matter what color. I didn't even know this bass existed until I saw it on my local CL classified and scored it really cheap. The neck was kinda bowed when it got into my hands, but I was able to get it straightened back out and now it plays like a dream! They sound great...

    Whats your dream bass?

That sounds exactly like a bass I own... not a 1983 but an 85'. The blackest Fender Bass I've ever seen, or owned for that matter.

The Fender Jazz Bass Club Part Seven!!!

Just picked up my 2nd Fender MIJ Jazz ... A 1962 RI! Plays great and sounds even better! These Japanese Fenders are very reliable and respectable instruments!

    NBD....Fender P LYTE

These are cool basses. There was one on my classifieds recently. Probably would consider picking one of these up but I already have one of the passive MIJ P/J Fender Jazz Bass Specials.

    Bashing G C

GC has some benefits, but their selection of guitars (especially basses), is usually rubbish. This is extremely true for my local GC. I picked up a Jazz Bass that was being sold as "new" with such a badly warped neck it was pretty much unplayable. I don't have a problem with GC or anyone who...

Recommend a good quality but inexpensive 4x10

SWR is a great option if you want a reliable budget cab. I got a used workingman's 4x10t for only $60 off CL... CL has some great deals pop up on cabs all the time. There's an Eden D4x10XLT on my local CL right now for only $350, I highly recommend checking out your local classifieds for the...
