regardless of whether I can use it or not...that is one seriously good-looking bridge!
If I do change out the bridge I definitely want to get adjustable to narrow the string spacing a tad to below 16mm. But what?

So got it in hand. Loving it. Great shape except for the bridge and saddles are
chrome-bubbly-corroded to where I want to replace them. Don't want to steel wool it all or try and buff it. So I looked for a P Lyte bridge (NOS as well) but no luck at all. NOTE:The pictures are from the vendor, I'll take some later I guess. The rust spot at the 3rd fret is on the old E string (it came with OLD strings), not on a fret.

What would be the best bridge replacement for the P Lyte?

What strings do you Lyte players suggest? I'd like to stay jazz style and think RotoSound jazz strings. ??

Yes, hopefully I do not get stripped of any friends in our glorious Washburn Club for crossing the strasse with this sweet Fender. But....SP_EB4L admits to having 5 non-Washie basses!
Looking forward to hearing/seeing the '82 Force 8 ( love the maple fretboard/neck on them). Should be a great and fun bass. It will compliment that gorgeous 1984 Force 8 BBR you have!

These are cool basses. There was one on my classifieds recently. Probably would consider picking one of these up but I already have one of the passive MIJ P/J Fender Jazz Bass Specials.

A friend of mine has one in natural koa. He doesn't really play, so he let me keep it in my studio for a while. Love the sound of that bass. Wish they made it in a 5.

Yes, I installed the Hipshot bridge and tuners without any modification or rework .... at least on my P-Lyte.
