MXR M87 Comp Dredgetone Angler VT Bass

Our new practice space has a ceiling fan and within the first couple of weeks as I was taking off my bass from my shoulder I would hit the head on the fan. Now I have a couple of chips in the wood as a result. Learned my lesson after about the third one. :crying:

You can snag one of his 80's SVT Heads with a road case and 8x10 cab encased in the Orange County, CA craigslist. Looks legit and super badass! Other than that just slap the **** out of an electric upright and rock the groove!

Been rocking chromes on my Am special Jazz as my main player for about a year now. Also got a P with flats and they both sound great and sit in the mix with my band just right. It really helps my sound vs the keyboards and guitars and lets my lines shine thru and lock in with the drums!

Congrats JMJ on a really great record. I do know that I want to play slap air bass every time I listen to Claudia Lewis! People here in LA always give me funny looks when I'm in the car because of that! :p

Give em' a try. Make sure you play with flats in a band setting though because they sit in the mix oh so nice! That to me is where they really shine!

I have been essentially gassing for a bass just like this but with the P-pup in a reverse position. It is gonna have to be a custom job though because I don't think anyone makes one stock. Very nice bass BTW!

I have been thinking about doing this. Buy a VM Jazz in maple with the blocked neck and a white classic vibe Jazz and switching the neck and pickguards. Then I would have a white jazz with a maple neck with black blocks and a black guard, id take it a step further and put all black hardware too...

Played one at GC today it was the best of the 10 plus that I played including some nice MIA fenders and Rays. It just was fat, full, and had the right amount of growl! I am gonna have to pick one of these up, soon!

Same here learn to play both! In my band with the exception of the drummer us three up front switch bass, guitar, and keys/synths all the time. Learn to make music and express yourself with many instruments. Its great fun when at a show people are amazed that we can switch and still sound good!
