I've heard nothing but bad things about the B2 and its "cheezy" frequency modulation and no mid controls .....On the other hand not a bad thought over the k&k any opinions ?

I didn't bring it i think I will just mic my amp and use my homemade pickup with a ge-7 EQ pedal because it produces good tone at a low level then i will give it a boost through the mixer into the PA.

Hi I'm going to be playing in a small saloon tommorrow and would like to use the bull fiddle for a set. I have sm 57's 58's a blue condensor mic and a kick mic at my disposal what would be the best combination to use through a 750 watt amp -mixer to two 15 inch Peavy loud speakers .:confused...

I have had these strings on for 2 weeks but I want the bridge closer to my sound post so should I consider getting new strings before doing so or will the bend in the strings just flex back into place from the tension ?

No I'm not the viola bow looked like the same width and it has more material on it, it is longer , so I don't see Why it is cheaper same company as the bass bow

Just wondering because I'm low on cash and the viola bow is 33 $ compared to 90$ for a bass bow ?

I'll just strap a raw NewYork Steak on the side of my bass reinforce with duck tape and start drinking beer , it's -40 here I could use the extra blubber.LOL The Foam mute is a different thread chris . There are many reasons to use both the mute and mass addition(which I don't plan on per-say)...

Hey there I played my bass for the first time sitting and when i did i noticed when i hugged the bass with my thighs it had more volume and sustain also when you bring it right down to the ground on its side like rockabilly players it has the same effect .I know they make a brass attachment...

Chris what part of your hand is getting raw ? Since you don't play in this manner all the time and binge on it at gigs/Big cat jam's you should identify the area's and then build up the callus with the time you spend off the bass let me know I may have method's for you to build the Callus in...

True but I don't believe you get what you pay for with most piezo pickups the materials cost pennies, it's all in the shielding,preamp/buffer and location location location you place it on the bass ! I made mine and it works remarkably well :bassist:
