    Hearing Loss and Ear Plugs

This may be a silly question. And, it may have already been covered in this thread. Its a pretty long thread and, well, you know... Anyway, have any of you found ear plugs that cut mainly the highs and leave the bass audible? Not really so much a volume cut, but a high frequency cut. Overall...

In Search of Flat Frequency Response Amp (When EQ'd Flat) With Minimal Coloration

Older SWR stuff can be pretty hi-fi and uncolored.

    Fender American Special discontinued?

Mine is a 2012. I actually modded it a bit by actually removing the GB circuit and rewiring it by putting in a .047 orange drop cap and '62 P'UPs so I'm 100% certain it had the GB. I also replaced the PG with a black one and added a BAII bridge.

    Fender American Special discontinued?

I love the American Special series basses. I have the Honeyburst P with the hand rubbed nitro finish. In answer to previous questions, it does have the posiflex graphite rods and greasebucket circuit. It also has a different neck profile than the American standard. The Special is thinner (front...

    Fender on a $1000 budget.

I have an American Special Precision that I use as my #1. I prefer it to the other P-Basses because of the unique neck profile. It is thinner front to back than your typical P but it retains the normal width. It has the Greasebucket tone circuit that can be a polarizing issue among players, but...

    Vintage basses: Could it Be?

Yeah, but what if the previous owner(s) sucked???

    NBD American Special P Bass

No. It's a direct bolt on. It uses the stock holes.

    NBD American Special P Bass

Here's mine. I modded it a bit with a black pg, BAII bridge, Fender CS '62 PUPs and removed the Greasebucket circuit with a .47 orange drop cap.

    Parting with my Ampeg 410hlf

I have the same head and I use a Fender P also. I was looking for less of a "Hi-Fi" sound than my SWR SM400S with a Goliath IV rig was giving me. I wanted something a little wooly without giving up all of my articulation. I originally was gonna go with a 4x10 HLF, but I found it to be too boomy...

Black n' Brass Precision - fresh detail

Looks fantastic, but how do you adjust the truss rod?

    Squire jazz upgrades

Regardless of whether I mod a bass or not, they ALL get strap locks. My personal preference is Dunlop Dual-Design, but there are other good ones out there.

Best Fender Precision currently in production?

I have this one: Invalid Link Removed I've modded it a bit with '62 pup's and a BAII bridge. I also removed the Greasebucket tone circuit and put a .047 orange drop cap in it. The reason I bought it is because of the light weight (<8Lbs), great finish and the American Special neck is magical...

Is this Good price for a Workingpro 10?

That may be a bit steep. Those are nice amps, but SWR pricing has fallen through the floor. Even their heyday stuff like the pre-Fender SM400 amps can be found really cheap... Its a shame. I have a bunch of SWR stuff that I don't use anymore, but there's no point in trying to unload it. I would...
