Older SWR stuff can be pretty hi-fi and uncolored.

Mine is a 2012. I actually modded it a bit by actually removing the GB circuit and rewiring it by putting in a .047 orange drop cap and '62 P'UPs so I'm 100% certain it had the GB. I also replaced the PG with a black one and added a BAII bridge.

No. It's a direct bolt on. It uses the stock holes.

Regardless of whether I mod a bass or not, they ALL get strap locks. My personal preference is Dunlop Dual-Design, but there are other good ones out there.

That may be a bit steep. Those are nice amps, but SWR pricing has fallen through the floor. Even their heyday stuff like the pre-Fender SM400 amps can be found really cheap... Its a shame. I have a bunch of SWR stuff that I don't use anymore, but there's no point in trying to unload it. I would...
