Thank a lot for the info / suggestions guys. I will be doing a bunch of research based on this thread.

I'm looking to get a 15" combo amp that will not break the bank. I'm looking to spend at most about $350. I was considering a peavy max and a fender rumble. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions that I may benefit from. Thanks fellow bass lovers.

Hey all. I have a Samick acoustic bass that I got for very cheap. It plays well and sounds good. It has a 2band active eq with a ceramic piezo pickup http://belcat.com/html/products/preamp/pdf/AT-3000.pdf It has 3 sliders "Low" , "Hi" and Volume. The LOW setting adjusts fine at any volume...

After looking at it further ...its just a clip to hold the wiring from flopping around. The white part is old worn out tape. I just double taped it to the inside side of the body. seems to work just fine.

Hi. I was recently given an acoustic bass. Knowing very little about it I notcied it has a loose wire with some 2 sided tape attached dangling inside. I'm going to go buy some 2 sided tape and re-stick it in there. I'm just not sure if where I stick it is important or not. Where should it...

I third the PB blaster suggestion. That stuff works pretty good and has got me out of a bind many times.
