My tone pot spins 360 degrees and no longer works. Is this something I can solder, or should I buy a new tone pot?

After a 1 year break from playing bass, I've started playing again. I had sold my old bass so I just bought this last weekend. It's the first P-bass I've owned.

If it stays in the same air conditioned room, it will stay in tune for a month. If I walk across campus in 90 degree weather, I will need to retune.

If it's designed as a P.A. cab, it may have too many booming lows and not enough cutting mids.

Another option is to go to Guitar Center and play every single Squier on the shelf until you find the right one. You won't have a Fender, but at least you will have the best possible Squier.

Can you use the effects send as a substitue for an XLR out? I don't know if this would work, I'm just trying to think of ideas. I agree with the above posts that getting a DI is a good solution.

This is not necessarily true. My 2003 Warwick Corvette is made in Germany, and I bought it used for $500, which is significantly less than you would pay for a $$. A used German Corvette's price is often closer to used Rockbass prices than, say, used $$ or Thumb prices. (The newer Corvettes...

Cool project! I did something similar with my Line 6 110. The hole that goes from the cab to the head is the perfect size for a 1/4" jack, so I sawed off the lip and installed a jack. And I built an ugly wood frame for the "head." Unfortunately I have no camera. :(

It says the scale length is 32"? I wonder if that's a typo or not.

If you use your index and middle finger, then you should start with your middle finger. (Instead of playing 1212, play 2121.) Since the middle finger is longer, it is slightly louder and stronger. This is especially true when you are playing at top speed.

These cabs are so big that for a second I thought the bass was a short scale! Looks like a pounding rig.

This always happens to me. Those bottom tuners are always getting in the way! Even with my crazy moves, I never have problems with anything except those bottom tuners.

Come Together by the Beatles? I agree with the other replies. Unless you can improve a mean slap solo, bass is usually kind of bland by itself. With or Without You is also an excellent solution. :D
