Craigslist ad: Band seeking THE bassist?!?

That was my first thought too

The phone call you pray never comes.....

If I may suggest, those of you who aren't pros and/or don't have your stuff insured, inventory your gear and make sure your home insurance will cover it. Quite by accident (chatting with my agent at my son's baseball game a few years ago) I discovered that my $1500 of camera gear was not...

    Is this even made?

Well alrighty folks. We tried it yesterday. I plugged my bass into the DI/sound system. Ran a cable from the DI to my practice amp. Used earbuds. While not the ideal solution (I'm tethered even more now) it was a better set up than I had before. I could hear my own dynamics much better and...

My little one was purchased, at the time, strictly for at home practice. Probably won't ever get rid of it. My only outside the house playing is with the praise team at church. The whole truth is, I've thought for years it would be fun to learn to play bass. But, raising kids in a one income...

I will definitely keep that in mind if I ever get an actual rig set up. Thanks, for the advice.

    Is this even made?

It is. I still think we're going to have issues of the drums drowning the open speaker out on the loud songs if I don't use headphones. Not sure how I'm going to handle only hearing myself through the phones. But one of the guys came up with this, "if we do this and this we can plug this into...

Ok, for anyone that's still interested, here's what the crew and I tried out tonight: I plugged my bass in to the DI One output went to the house system, one to my practice amp It seemed to work. We're gonna give it a go Sunday morning and see how it works with the whole band in there...

I've got the crew reading through all these suggestions trying to figure what would work best for everyone. (I still think burning the place down and wiring right would be best) But I was out voted. Again.

It's a 25, not 40. Don't remember now why I went with it and not the bigger. I'm seeing my mistake, that's for certain.

Our drummer is the exception to the rule. He truly is. They have had to encourage him to play louder. The platform is basically in an alcove on the short end of a rectangle. The acoustics of the sanctuary are very unusual. They can have the house speakers loud enough to crack the plaster...

My mistake. Mine is the 25, not the 40. Husband wanted me to get the 40. Not sure now why I decided against it. I'm seeing my choice was a mistake. Clearly.

It's just a little 40watt Fender Rumble combo home practice amp. Nothing even close to being the kind of equipment you guys use. So unless there's a panel to remove that I'm missing, I got nothin'

Just checked my amp. It's a combo. It doesn't have an output. Except to the headphones.
