Sadowsky SBS40 Stainless Steel Roundwound. I know they're suposed to be for funk but they can give a very mellow sound with the right playing technique, and when played with a ribbed shark-fin pick you can get some great 'twang' sounds!

I'm sure Hughes and Kettner made a very compact , very loud amp at one point

It's second hand It's £70 [$140?] the shpping costs are £15 [$30?] I'm tempted because of the design, the price and the fact that it's fretless

So would $140 plus delivery be a good price?

The regal electro acoustic resonator bass is reckoned to be the one of the loudest They don't make it anymore sadly but they have some nice pictures on the Folk of the Wood site [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I've been playing a 80's Sunn Mustang for five years now and I'm about to buy a bargain fretless. BUT the make is H & S I've trawled the 'net quite a lot and can't find any mention of them, perhaps the bargain is to good to be true? Can anyone help? n_s
