Looking For Compact But Versatile Rig

Hi, I'm a 16 year old high school student, I just bought a Warwick Corvette STD 5-string and I'm looking to move up from my craptastic 70 dollar practice amp. I just got into the jazz band at my school and I'd like a really compact rig that I can bring on the bus if I have to without killing myself. The most I'm willing to spend is about $650 US. Look for a used Genz Benz Shuttle series.

I'm sure Hughes and Kettner made a very compact , very loud amp at one point

Could probably get a 2nd hand markbass 112 combo or a new micromark, etc.

Give it a shot as the shop.

How about a used Gallien Krueger Combo? Lots and lots of them out there. There are a few 400RB 2X10 combos and a Micro Bass combo on Ebay right now (no affiliation).

i was on rmc audio and saw that they have a 700rbII/neo 1x12 combo. that's pretty compact and i'm sure it sounds good... it's a GK

Mesa Walkabout is a great amp and you can upgrade to more cabs at some point becuase the head comes out of the combo
