First of all, the rig... in a 4U rack case I have a furman power conditioner, BBE tube preamp and a yorkville AP4040 power amp, powering an Ampeg pro neo 4x10 cab RMS 850w at 8ohms. Currently, I'm pushing 700w at 8ohm using one channel on the AP4040,... I want to replace it with a 1U class...

yup... and the power strip part is the usefull part of it... I do have a decent one... and the only thing separating it for.its 500$ brother is fancy led's showing how much power its conditioning... but yeah your right... its just a rack mounted powerbar... which I like... keeps things neat...

I'm looking at actually replacing the rack tuner.... korg makes errr.. made a good one... discontinued now... but its nice to have nothing on the ground... especially the bars I tend to play where beer gets spilled all over the place... and the power conditioner... even though doesnt condition...

oh 850@8ohms is just what the cab is rated at... I was always told that the pa > cab wattage wise

hey... looking for some advice... right now I have a bbe pre amp and a yorkville ap 4040 for my power amp... I'm simply using one channel and pushing an ampeg neo 4x10 cab... looking to lighten up the load and trim my rack down weight wise... but I need something to push 850watts at 8ohms...
