I used to own one. A hunk of **** if you ask me. It is unbalanced and heavy and its very flat tonally. I got lured in as a young player and a few months into it, i sold it to help pay for my new bass. I recommend going with a jazz or something similar if you want two pups.

i rock an Ibanez SR506 and its great, just make sure you give it a good look over, mine had a barely noticeable warping of the neck. I love Ibanez and i personally hate Trabens. Ugly and no fun to play.

I wish I had better, but it was all i could afford in high school, lol. Oh and pardon the funny face, I was singing.

I play a 6er because i love the added mid range and the low b comes in way handy with just about anything you do. Plus we all know fretted notes sound better than open and i like to eliminate the open E in any music i play.

I'm not a fan of the construction of EBMMs and the pickups they use just don't sounds as good as other MM pickups that i have heard (for the longest time i wouldn't even touch a bass with MM pickups) I like that Human Base uses Delano pickups in their instruments and I'm looking into Lakland...

I haven't played the new Fender models yet so I'll retract my statement, but i will say for what they were doing there at least last year was a major skimp on quality for me, and the S-1 switch was a disaster. I'm not a fan of the MMs just because they don't do it for me and the the obvious...

I have been shopping for Fender jazz 5 strings and they do sound great, but it seems like they keep trying to add new frills to try to keep up with other brands when what a lot of us only want a basic passive pick ups and a good preamp, kinda like Sadowsky or any number of j bass luthiers produce.
