I have owned some good basses, like ESP Halibut, Mayones Jabba, Dtagonfly CS5, YAMAHA TRB... etc
The B string on Sadowsky Metroline (MV5, Modern 5, Germany Single cut modern 5) are better than these basses.
Sadowsky B string is 34", amazing!!!
I just got my Metroline Single Cut Modern. (2022 made)
I like the wood, the construction quality. But I don't like the stocked electronics.
Output level is obviously lower than my other basses(include passive bass).
And I turned both trimpot fully clockwise. When I push tone knob to active mode...

For me, the first part(0:00~0:49) sounds fodera-ish (victor wooten tone) and I love the tone very much.
Except use the same signature bass, how to get bass tone like this?
What kind of wood, pickup, EQ setup, ... etc...
2. Yes, I will keep this bass for a long time if I have no complain on this bass.
3. Must have: *maple fingerboard, *5-piece maple neck, *Stainless steel fret
*Kiesel Radium Radiused Humbucker Pickups (I have played a bass with this, like the tone!), *Active electronic...
Hello TBs,
I plan to get a new 4 string bass.
I personally like some following configuration:
*Neck: maple fingerboard, stainless fret, multiple piece neck + graphite reinforcement, 24 frets.
*Electronic: versatile preamp + humbucker(soapbar) pickup.
Then I find kiesel/carvin bass...
I'm looking for a Spector euro.
There are three different type pickup, P/J, TWs, and DCs(Alex Webster)
I'm stock here.
Could someone tell the pros and cons of these pickup configuration?
