Has anyone here met or know how to contact a guy named Kwinn that used to have a Hagstrom devoted web site? He was a great guy. Incredibly knowledgeable on all things Hagstrom.

I was thinking that... but unlike the other HD Acoustic sizes, the 1000 doesn't have a 3.5mm auxiliary input - the only way in is the 1/4" jack on the front. So if that input jack is bad, how would I get a signal in there? The link in from the DI out on another amp head ?

Ha! I have one of these amps! I never ever post here. But I posted my BassTech amp just like yours probably 10 years ago. No one ever heard of these amps. Like yours, mine is a beast, very loud and versatile. I haven't used it in a few years....

I have an old Kay 162 bass but the tension from standard strings really pulls the neck in a bad way and I'm not sure if a neck reset will solve the problem. Before getting carried away on working on this bass, I thought I would try a low tension set. But I can't find any strings advertised this...

If you don't mind carrying it around, the GK rig offers a bit more in the way of future versatility and expandability . Also, unless your band is extremely loud, the GK should just about cut through the mix in a an acceptable way. The 4 -10's might sound better than one 15 for your funky stuff...

I need to up my power but want to try to do it using the Ampeg Portabass 2x10 cabinet I already own. I was thinking of getting 2 Delta 10B speakers for it....upping the power to 700 watts. Just trying to get some opinions here..... do you think those speakers are just too much for that cabinet...

Speaking of the Eden WT-405, has anyone run this amp at less than 4 ohms in a live band setting ? I "almost" combined a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm cabinet last week but decided not to try it at 2.7 ohms, even though the literature states 2 ohm min. How about anyone else?

I picked up a bass amp at the flea market. It's a BassTech brand. It's quite nice - it's a combo with a 15" driver and a tweeter. It has an adjustable crossover, line out, etc. Lots of bells and whistles for a name I can find NOTHING on. Sounds great and is loud too.
