Acoustic B1000HD overnight death

I've been using this class D Acoustic B1000HD head plugged into an Ampeg Portabass 2x10 speaker cabinet with upgraded speakers for a few years. It's a great powerful rig -especially when you consider its small footprint on the stage and easy weight to haul around. I used it for a gig Friday night. It worked fine as always all night. Set up the same rig on Saturday at a different venue and .....NOTHING... first I figured it was a cable, or on mute, or some other silly thing.. but no dice. dead. I think I heard some hiss but it was noisy on stage and after wasting 15 minutes troubleshooting I had to hustle out to the car for my backup head. Is anyone aware of specific issues on this amp that would cause it to just stop working completely ? It did light up. Thanks....

One thing you can try is to use a 1/4" cable and connect LINK OUT to LINK IN on the back. Repeat by jumpering Effects Send to Effects Receive.
This might determine if there is a bad jack in circuit.

I was thinking that... but unlike the other HD Acoustic sizes, the 1000 doesn't have a 3.5mm auxiliary input - the only way in is the 1/4" jack on the front. So if that input jack is bad, how would I get a signal in there? The link in from the DI out on another amp head ?

Have you tried a different cabinet?

If not, it sounds like service time with a qualified service tech.

Here's the manual, refer to page 12. LINK IN/OUT and Effects Send/Return are clearly illustrated.

I never said auxiliary, nor did I say to use any other input. The DI output is for connecting the amp to a mixer or audio interface, not another amp. Just like the manual says. If you don't understand these connections, then ignore my suggestion and by all means take it to a tech.
