    Strings?

Just a quick question, anyone know a website where they sell strings but at a sensible price, I'm talking like not over £15. I'm a fan of the Ernie ball strings the slinkys and the cheapest I've found is at £14 so thats not too bad. I know of Stringbusters.com thats a great site, just wondering...

    whats better?

I think I'm going to settle with the 2x12, I've gone out and tried some 2x10's and one 2x12 (the only had one) and i think the 2x12 sounded better to my ears. But thanks for the advice and input guys :)

    whats better?

I'd like to stick to a company name/brand I know of to be honest, I've gone down the route trying name out I've never heard yeah their Pro's but I just thought they were terrible amps/cabs so I don't want to make the same mistake twice here.

    whats better?

I know its a huge decrease in volume but due to car troubles and not playing big venues anymore I reckon a 2x12 would suit me for any gig really or I can just bust out my 4x10 if not. Yes I know the bigger the speaker the more volume but my question was which is better tone wise? 10's are great...

    whats better?

I've got around £280 for a cabinet, a TC 2x10 is about £250 and the TC 2x12 is around £280 last time i checked (this is for the old models not the new £500 models) they both are exactly the same inside just different looks basically.

    whats better?

Yeah I'd like to stick to that sort of size and style, I'm not a fan of 15's so something easy to carry around like a 2x10/2x12 would be ideal.

    whats better?

I'm down sizing my rig I've got a 8x10 (which is going) and a 4x10, I'm looking for something quick and easy to move around. So, I'm stuck between getting the TC 2x10 or the TC 2x12, which is better sound wise? A 2x10 would have more bottom end I'd imagine and the 2x12 would have more of...

    Pc recording.

Basically I'm after a free, downloadable software for PA which I can use as a bass pre-amp. Something to play through the PC with headphones it to play along with music, not fussed about using it for recording just something to act as a little amp in my PC to play through without any play lag...

    Worth it?

Speaker wise isn't a problem I already own a 8x10 and 4x10, the two 2x12 cabinets were for a change to scenery tbh, so is this head worth it or not? I've found one at half the retail price thats what got me interested in TC to start with.

    Worth it?

A friend of mine who's using the head in question says its plenty loud enough and the 236W rating on the website is the amount through a 8 Ohm cabinet and its the full power through a 4 Ohm cabinet, so it just depends on what Ohmage cabinet I'm using with it.

    Worth it?

I just looked on the TC website and it does say it'l only put out 236W you are correct it'd obviously be enough power behind it to gig with and definitely DI record with in a studio. Going back to gigging with it, would the 2x12 be enough for it? I've always gigged with either a 4x10 or an 8x10...
  12. N

    Worth it?

Well I didn't think one would be enough seeing as the amp is 450 watts and the cab is rated at 250watts power handling? Or am I wrong?

    Worth it?

Im upgrading my rig im selling everything and starting fresh gonna get some actual "pro" gear which is light weight but load, budget isn't a problem soo I was thinking of getting this: the TC Elentronic classic 450 head with the matching 2x12 cab, well 2 of them. Invalid Link Removed Thoughts?

    Behringer 8x10? Crazy right?

Yes its a Behringer forum so calm down before the bashing comes. Basically wanted to mention that I was able to buy the Behringer 8x10 bass cabinet for only £100 a bargain in my opinion. Yes its heavy as hell 176lbs but I just leave it at my local for band practice and gigs there. Right...
