I finally purchased a bass after nearly a month of bidding and PM'ing, now I'm looking to get an amp.
After reading reviews I have decided on one of the three:
Crate BT100
G-K Backline 110
Line 6 LDS 110
I would like to hear your experiences and opinions on any or all of the three...
Yes sir you are correct, the seller said it was passive and when I examined the back I did not see a place for a battery so I assumed that it was.:hmm: After reading your post I opened the rear compartment and behold a 9-volt battery. I took the old one out but didn't bother to put a new one in...
After nearly a month of trying to find a decent bass at the right price I finally made a purchase. I found this on Ebay, the seller was local we made a deal and now it's mine. It is a passive Ibanez SR400. All I need now is an amp, cord, strap and an instructor and I'm on my way. Pic is from...
The Squire is sold, I was two days late on that one, the others I'm not interested in. That Fender amp is nice. Thanks for your help.
What do you think about these two?

I think I'll just wait to see what happens with the one deal, hopefully it will fall through and I can buy it. If not I'll save up for one. Thanks peeps!
Well for the bass I don't want to spend more than $300, there is a SR400 at Sam Ash for $369 I may try to talk them down some. Maybe another $100 - $250 for a amp and accessories (bag, stand, strap, tuner, etc.)
Do wannabe's count? I don't play bass but want to learn, in fact I don't even own one yet. I'm still trying to find a good deal on an Ibanez SR400 or SR500 or something similar. Anyway if wannabe's can get a number I'll take the next available one.
Well I almost had a great deal on a SR500 but missed out, so now I am considering this one on ebay. This will be my first bass. I know that these bases have different electronics but how do they compare as far as sound? This is the bass I originally wanted to get, the only thing is I don't like...
What if you don't play yet and are planning to learn the bass which is my dilemma. Even after I tell the sales person hey I'm looking for a decent bass to learn on that I won't have to modify as my skill level progresses what do you recommend, they say what kind of music do you play or go ahead...
My bad fellas, I searched for Bass guitars and this came up, I saw $90 and thought what a deal. I didn't even look at the pic.
What about this one? I'm sure this is a bass :D
Whats up everyone?
Hey I saw this ad on Craiglist, I was consideing another bass but when I came across this ad I had to reconsider especially for the price. My questions are:
What is your opinion on this bass as far as quality, is it OK for beginner?
If I buy one what should I look for...
