The shuttle is 600 watts and the mesa is 350 and it is plenty for me as I do run it through a 2x10 and 1x15 to maintain full wattage I mainly play metal and this will definitely keep up with our drummer.

I wasn't really gelling with the Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 so decided to get a brand new amp and the mesa was perfect and I just gelled with it straight away and it is my first time using a mesa amp.

At the jam room new 2x10 and the 1x15 had an upgrade from a 200 watt speaker to a 330 watt ashdown blueline mag 115 8ohm speaker to cope with the output of the Shuttle. The 1x15 sounds great with the new speaker installed.

The blend knob allows you to mix the amount of clean signal that you want going into the gain circuit especially if you want to just add a little bit of grit to your sound

I wanted to get a Magellan 350 originally but the only NZ retailer was out of stock so the markbass would have been option C

I was seriously looking at a markbass mb58r till the shuttle popped up for $400 NZD on facebook so I pulled the trigger on it and I don't regret it as I love that tube sound from the pre amp

The tube pre amp is the reason I got the shuttle, I used to have a streamliner 600 but sold it to help pay for my mothers funeral since then no other amp could replace that sound I used to get from that streamliner till I got the shuttle which to me the sound is like being in music heaven.

To me it sounds more aggressive I am also using the 1x15 with the 2x10 cab so I have got that extra bit of low end, while they both have that ampeg sound to it they do sound different to my ears my problem is I like them both so I won't be selling any of these amps but I would love to get that...
