I wasn't really gelling with the Genz Benz shuttle 6.0 so decided to get a brand new amp and the mesa was perfect and I just gelled with it straight away and it is my first time using a mesa amp.

NAD: Mesa subway D 350

I have one and it's by far my all time favorite from all the amps I've been using.

I agree it is a great amp. It is my first mesa and I was deciding between this, GK legacy 500 and a mark bass 58R but what sold me on the mesa is the fact the controls were kept simple and that voicing knob is a great help I didn't care about no fx loop as i don't use that anyway. There is a video of me playing through it with my sadowsky metro express PJ bass on the TB facebook page doing a ZZ top cover.
Great little amp all on its own. So glad I bought it.
I'm not surprised. The Subway Series is a very well designed amp line.
i've got a D-800. best bass amp i've owned!
i see the D-350 has a "bright" switch where my D-800 has a "deep" switch. is this new switch on all the new Mesa Subway heads? or did the 350 only get the special "bright" switch?

The shuttle is 600 watts and the mesa is 350 and it is plenty for me as I do run it through a 2x10 and 1x15 to maintain full wattage I mainly play metal and this will definitely keep up with our drummer.

The D-350 has the bright switch, the D-800 has the deep switch, the D-800+ has both switches.
I sold my D800 after getting the D350 all because of the bright switch. I don't have my sound very bright and don't like piercing highs, but the bright switch isn't that. It brings a clarity and sweetness to the highs that the D800 can't do.
No. I don't have any bands that play louder than the D350 can cover. I use a Genzler 2x10, a Genz Benz NeoX 2x12 or an Ampeg 6x10 and they are all plenty loud. I mostly use a Fender TV12 at 150 watts, so the D350 is fine for what I need.
I covet one of these, but really can't justify buying one, since I don't play out anymore, but still....
I've retired, too, and I'm already up to my butt in quality bass amps, but damn... If there's one amp in the industry that does everything right, there it is.
I'll tell you it's the best amp for home play as well. Thermally cooled, it doesn't need a fan so it's dead quiet and I really appreciate that. And I was surprised at how compact it is. I was not really a Mesa fan but this amp won me over.
Already did that to find out about the voicing control the rest was self explanatory.
I'm an old cat, been through a boatload of gear through the years...and the Subway line is the best stage amplification I've ever used.
