    Acoustic B600H

I use a B600H. I bought it (used) with a B410 Acoustic cab. Cab has no tone. None. I got rid of that and picked up an Ampeg 410HLF Classic. The B600H seemed to come to life. Just played a gig on Saturday, and I was very happy with it once I got it dialed in. But I'm not one to keep a rig too...

Well, I was able to find an Ampeg 410HLF Classic on CL. Cab is like new, built in 2007. Spent its life in a small studio, barely used, and it shows. Still had the hang tag. Negotiated a very reasonable price. ($350). Had to drive into NYC to get it, but it was worth the trip. Holy Smokes...

Ampeg BA series... which one?/any good?

I've used a BA115HP (220 watt) for a few years now. As a stage monitor with DI for larger venues, and by itself for smaller clubs. Love the tone, and it never let me down. I use it as a backup now. However, there is no easy way to use it as an extension cab. I'm very happy with it. Just my .02 cents

Yeah, I gotta agree. GK sounds good for the $$. OK, so the B410 cab is going. I'm sure I'll find a fairly priced 410HLF on CL or EBay. Next is to work on swapping the Acoustic out for the GK. Thanks for the input. Feel free to keep suggesting.

OK, here's the deal. I'm playing bass in a couple of cover bands. Nothing fancy. 3 piece and a 5 piece. Play out 2 times a month. Small venues. Club scene. 100 - 400 with the occasional outdoor show, maybe 250 - 500. It's just for fun, not a job. I was using an Ampeg BA115HP (which I love for...

    Ampeg BA115 or...

I'm currently using the BA115HP (without the tube) for some smaller gigs, and I'm happy with it. Tried the BA115, and there is no contest. I can certainly get the volume I want in a smaller venue, and I just plug into the P.A. for the larger shows. Hope this helps.

So your eccentric rich uncle sends you some cash...

Ok, here it is. Your very eccentric rich uncle sends you $1,000. He loves to hear you play bass, but you need a new amp. You have a decent P Bass with flats, and you play small clubs, bars, and occasionally outside shows, etc. Nothing over 300 people. Your music is rock and top 40 cover tunes...

    Kustom 200

Hey, thanks for all your input. I went to look at it, and it was junk. Both speakers farted even at low volume, and the cab smelled like it had been in a damp basement for the past 20 years. Lots of mildew on that and the head. I'll pass, thank you.

This appeared on CL. Anybody out there use one? I play classic rock in medium (200-500) venues. I'm currently using Acoustic B600H and Acoustic 410 cab, or Ampeg 115 hp combo for smaller venues. Is it worth a look, or will I be disappointed? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
