Thought I'd share how this turned out. I used 'silver' filament, which was the closest I could get to the chrome. I tried the transparent filament, which is really like a cloudy white more than transparent, but preferred the silver.

The Becos mini was mentioned, I’ll second it and suggest their Mini One if the standard mini is too much in features and price. Small, simple, good metering. I preferred a little more control, particularly with threshold, but it might be good for you.
