I guess it's kind of a two part question....

    Head/Cab Power & DI

Yes. Bass - Line 6 Wireless - Korg Tuner - in to Sans Amp, in to Input to Trace, DI from Sans Amp to PA. I did readjusted my level on the Trace so it wouldn't clip. Gain and Level on DI was hardly up. Just enough for a signal. IDK, maybe I had one of those tiny black buttons pushed I...

    Head/Cab Power & DI

I was doing a gig and using a Sans Amp DI, 3 button programmable. My head was fine with my wireless, but my batteries quit, so I went to cable. Once I did that, I noticed my amp was getting really hot, so I turned it off and just went sans amp direct the rest of the gig. I use a Trace Elliot...

800 watt head into a 500 watt cab?

I was doing a gig and using a Sans Amp DI. My head was fine with my wireless, but my batteries quit, so I went to cable. Once I did that, I noticed it was getting really hot, so I just went sans amp direct the rest of the gig. I use a Trace Elliot head, AH250SMX, and a Traynor TC410 Neo...

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

Ok kids, I just got the Traynor TC410 Neo. 800w, 8 ohms. I brought my head to the store, seemed to handle just fine for an hour, did not get hotter u til I blended in more Valve from the Solid state. (AH250SMX Trace head). It's freaking loud a.f. Clean and punchy. Will there be an unexpected...

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

Here's some fuel: I found my old can info I'd sold from a FB post. I used to run one or both of these cabs(each separate lines out, not daisy chained) w this head, no problems: 90s Peavey 410TX 700w max. 8 ohms Avatar 4 ohm 2x12 (doesn't say watts) <---should have kept this one. It was...

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

The skinny on the AH250SMX: I was mistaken. The Traynor guy was correct, to NOT use TWO 400w cabs, according to this, if im getting this right. Anyways, thx again, everyone! "Most guys will get one 8 ohm, 250-350 watt cab. This is ideal for this amp because at 8 ohms you're pushing less than...

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

Trace/British Audio emailed me back, said that my head would be ok pushing 250-350w cabs, up to even two 400w cabs @ 8 ohms each, for 4 ohms. From my understanding, each cab would be pushing 125w to each cab I guess. The Traynor/Yorkville guy advised against it, but said (naturally)whatever...

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

No, I was thinking out loud for portability. The Traynor office emailed me n said the tc410 neo 800w may try my 250w Trace head, and to go with one TC210 400w. I was just thinking out loud. The TC410 neo is quite a bit more in price

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

Got it. Thinking I'll do 8 ohm 210, 400w, 1 can for smaller gigs, then add another 400w 210 for bigger gigs. These Traynor TC210 are pretty deep, as deep as a Mark Bass 115 cab. so I figure I need the portability and boom factor. thx for the response. :)

I'm about to underpower this cab to the max

I have a Trace AH250SMX. I've read all these threads for days, here n the Trace thread. Got rid of a Peavey 410tv(?) 350w 8 ohm, and an Avatar 8 ohm 1 12 (I forget wattage). Too heavy. I'm looking to get a neo cab. Local store has an 8 ohm 800watt Traynor TC410 Neo. I emailed the manufacturer...
