After recording some stuff at my friend's house, we went to listen to some stuff on a four track digital recorder. There was a strange ringing sound that would play throughout. I'm not too knowledgable about recording equipment and was hoping someone could help me with this.

I've got a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz and I'm thinking of buying an Electro-Harmonix Q-tron Plus. Invalid Link Removed I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to electronics and was hoping someone has some experience with a similar rig. Thoughts/Comments?

It started by playing Guitar Hero :scowl: a year or two ago. Playing bass makes it worse (especially on the low end of the neck on my left and while slapping with my right). Over time it has gotten worse and I finally took the initiative to see a doctor. Thanks for the suggestions, too.

Well, I went to the doctor last week and I have tendinitis in both my wrists/forearms. I've stopped playing bass since and haven't notice much difference, yet. I'm not getting impatient (yet), but other than icing I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how to get my wrists better? In...

Yes, I know. I was just looking for some helpful suggestions for songs to get started. A suggestion for others: I found that the main riff for 'Heartbreaker' by Led Zeppelin was easy for me.

I bought a book about learning to basically dissect songs by ear. 'Contemporary Ear Training' by Mark Harrison for the curious minds. I would like suggestions for songs with a fairly simple bass part and that is easy for the average person hear. I bet this has been asked before, but hopefully...

Don't have any pics, but it is both wrists with the left just slightly worse. It's worse on the lower end of the neck. I took lessons for a few months and asked my teacher and he only saw a few minor problems with my technique...Although it does seem to be worse when I use a strap.

I'd go to Area 51...let's see what all this fuss is about.

I've had some wrist problems over the last few years and they've gotten worse the past month or so. I literally played for a minute yesterday and had to stop. Going to the doctor's next week.... Anybody ever have similar problems?

I'm currently working on this book right now and I have really enjoyed it. I'm probably only about 1/10 finished, but it is has been good so far. This guy recommends buying it.
