That's where the intonation is perfect. No tan lines and the pickguard installs perfectly so it must have been in this spot since it was made in rhe 90s.

I put some tapewound pyramids 9n this one. These feel more clothlike than other tapes. They sound good but the jury us still out.

Too much history to do another refinish. I think it should look the way it was when stolen. Most footage we see of Paul using the bass was as it is now minus the damage. A refinish will take away its Beatles historical significance.

I have a set of TI flats on my 2021 4003s. They are not cheap, but they last forever and the quality can't be beat. They are very low tension, so they take getting used to for some,but once they break in,they sound so buttery and warm

It's funny that I got that cup in the pic because it reminded me of the one seen in Get Back. Then I tracked down the actual exact kind after I took this pic. Talk about embarrassingly hard core into the Bestles. Lol
