Mine fit. (See pic.) Those dimensions don't match up to mine.
Today is a Bank Holiday here in the UK so a day off from work & even the weather is nice. So spending some quality time with my 500/1 bass, you can't beat days like this just chilling out with your favourite bass.
That's a real vintage KSP/ Staffordshire cup. I almost got a new one, but the design on those isn't even close. I held out until I found one.
I put some tapewound pyramids 9n this one. These feel more clothlike than other tapes. They sound good but the jury us still out.

Your bridge is a lot closer to the bridge pickup than on mine. I can fit my pinkie finger (sideways) between the pup and bridge.
That's where the intonation is perfect. No tan lines and the pickguard installs perfectly so it must have been in this spot since it was made in rhe 90s.
I have one of these. They came with basses in the 80s and early 90s. I have one that came with my early to mid 90s reissues. I don't think it's from Selmer, though. Even Hofner doesn't know who made them. Same case but black interior. Its a tough case and thr moat durable of all ive owned, including the aluminum flight case, which tears iff impacted too hard. This came with the bass originally and the print on my hang states the bass was made in the original factory in Bubenreuth, which stopped production in 1996, so this early V63 and case is before that.

Friday the 24th of May 2024 marks the 60th Anniversary of my 1964 Hofner Violin Bass being ink stamped, & probably completed & shipped to Selmer's here in the UK.
Now I know there is no real proof of what day the bass was made as the pots date from 1963, but I always treat the 24th of May as my 500/1's Birthday.
I bought this bass when it was 24 years old & I thought it was vintage then, & here we both are 36 years later still in each others company.
Happy 60th Anniversary/Birthday to my favourite bass my Number 1, & my most prized personal possession.

That's funny because it was on this day (May 23rd) in 1991 that I officially bought my '79. I had it on a trial basis for a few days before. The seller let me try it out (with a deposit) before I bought it.
It's funny how some dates stick in your head & you, can remember them years later.

I envy that. I was forcibly retired by Motorola when they upchucked in '04 when I was 54. Twenty years later, still retired, I have real trouble remembering what day of the week it is.

Love the 64s although, as you said, sometimes it's difficult to determine the exact date. So purchase date is in fact the birth date for you.
When you get a chance, could you please post a few more pics. Especially interested in the back of the headstock (tuners, serial number, Hofner decal).

I have these which I took a while back the serial number is 687, which by the Hofner book says that Selmer started their numbers at 100. If so that makes mine the 587th one of the 1000 they ordered.
