Duh. Answered my own question. Yes, I have been playing on a poorly adjusted instrument for 32 years. Just got my setup. Plays better than it ever has. Tech said the neck was all out of whack. Wow. What a difference. Peavey T-40s rock.

Don't be confused. You've made your choice. If you love the look and it stand out, that's your bass. How does it play? Are you comfortable with it?

Can't go wrong with Ibanez. Love 'em. Country of origin? I have an acoustic guitar made in Indonesia that plays like a dream. Not sure about China. Squier? Not high on Squier. Why? No particular reason. Always have had good luck with Ibanez though.
