    fEarful 12/6 and bass

Yep about the same. The amp I have, i think, is 10 watts. I know the 12/6 eats it up.

    fEarful 12/6 and bass

Thanks for the bump. Updated the sale list as I added my iRig. To answer a few questions for all to see...yes this is the slim line original cabinet from gb, not the cube. Built per plans. Works great. I'm in York pa. Would like to sell the lot not break up the group. If the group...

    Leslie Cab Question

Leslie speakers were, for the most part, a woofer and tweeter mounted vertically that fired up though a rotating horn. They were designed aound the Doppler effect (why a train horn increases in pitch as it approaches, then decreases in pitch as it moves away...). The speed control increased or...

    Fiberglass for composite builds

Type 7781 fiberglass is a structural glass (not the strongest, such as s-glass, but still stronger than required) used in many applicaitons including aircraft construction. It really has no place in building a cabinet, although certainly can be...you would just be spending money on strength...

    fEARful™ Part Twelve (12)

I've wrote about this before but here it is again...EDIT -- OPPS, its a 10W not 15W...I'm impressed even more with the 12/6. I run my 12/6 alpha (built per plans) with a cheap 10W practice amp. I can vibrate the walls in my home. Its plenty for practice or coffee house gigs. The 12/6 gets...

    fEARful™ Part Eleven (11)

Agreed...I'm running my 12/6 alpha wih a 15W practice amp found in many beginner bass kits. I pulled it out of the 6" speaker enclosure it was in, built and stained a box made from the ply I used on the 12/6 and run it...12/6 built per plans. I can vibrate ALL the walls in my 2400 sqft. 2...

    fEARful™ Part Ten (10)

I bought an air stapler. Didn't use it on the 12/6 but I can say it will hold better than brads...great little gun to have for any wood working. Wish I had it when building the cab.

    fEARful™ Part Ten (10)

Other projects, one in particular, could use the cash. But I just can't at this point in time...maybe if someone splashed cash in front of me, but the cab sounds so good, even using the 15w amp ... :>)

    fEARful™ Part Ten (10)

After concidering selling the completed but not "finished" 12/6, I decided to finish the cabinet with stain, grill, etc. I just hate to get rid of it. Some pics. One more coat of poly when the weather wams but one coat looks good at this point. Per plans 12/6 fEarful.

take a piece of tape (clear tape) wrap it around your index finger so the sticky side is out, and gently put your finger with the tape on the dented dust cap. Quickly pull of your finger. Rrepeat as necessary. Worked great for me on many speakers.
