The most idiot-proof one I’ve owned is the EBS Multi-comp. Two buttons, 3 different modes. I keep mine set to “tube sim”, I basically set and forget “Compression” and “Gain”. Not a super squishy pedal - transparent enough for me and gives me everything I need in a comp and nothing more.

Current “big” board setup. I’ve had this homemade board (bought it off of someone on eBay) for a couple decades now. Bi-level, with a hinged compartment to hide the power supplies. (Apologies for the lone DemonFX pedal)

Love mine. I pair it with a HyDrive 2x10 (8 ohms each, obviously), but when I want to just run the 112, I switch it to 4 ohms and it does a great job. I run a MB Little Marcus through it and it fills the room when run by itself without even having to run it through the PA. Plenty loud...

Yeah, filing fret ends is super easy. I’m not exactly the steadiest hand in the world, but I was able to file every fret end on my MetroExpress neck without issue. Made all the difference in the world, too.
