music definately runs in my family. my dad has a masters in music and made me and and all 5 of my siblings play instuments. at first we all played violin (one of my sisters has a masters in violin), but my brother and i didnt like it so much. so i ended up playing bass and drums and my brother...

it all depends on the way that the instrument is played

ear plugs are definately a great idea. one time i was just foolin around on some instruments with a couple of friends and my ears didnt stop ringing for a week.

why do all the people i meet have to suck at music? is it just because of where i live? seriosly, all the drummers i know say they're good but when you mention any kind of time sig other than 4/4 they go nuts! and all the the guitarists have no clue what modal harmony even is!:hmm:
