Chromes. I'd just like to add how funny I think it is that they're called "Chromes" considering how dull they are. Also I don't think "chrome" describes the mellow sound very well.

Thanks for the helpful post, winnb! I should have wrote that I plan for the head to actually be the bottom of my guitar. Also, I just found a very similar design here, and I like how he has incorperated the pickups; [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Here's a rough plan of a bass I want to build. Just looking for crit and tips, etc, and do you think it will work? Due to the 2x4 design, it will only be played with a strap. I'm also puzzled as to how I could include a pickup. Thanks in advance

Ah yeah. I just got in my flatwounds and they tapped more so I had to raise the action a bit. Considering getting a new bridge, but new pickups are priority :P

With the action this low, don't the strings tap on the fretboard as you play? my action is about 0.4cm at the moment, any lower and there's noise from the strings hitting the fretboard, even if I'm playing quite gently.
