Sorry, I meant that in a general public kind of way. Here in Belgium, bands like Blink or Offspring are considered 'punkrock' and lots of bands over here follow that line of thinking. So, mostly, when you go see a band that's labeled punkrock, you get punkpop, not funny. Peter.

Lots of useful settings here ! I use a 5500 + VX810. These are mine : Tube : 3 o'clock SS : 12 o'clock Compressor : 10 o'clock EQ : used to have a smiley but nowadays it's off Bass : 2 o'clock Treble : 2 o'clock Master : never above 10 o'clock (depending on the venue) Peter.

Some ideas : Active bass in the passive input ? Preamps running too hot (what are your settings) ? You can check this by setting the compressor to +/- 10 o'clock. If the led occasionaly turns red on the loudest notes, you should have a clean input signal. If it turns red below 10 o'clock...
