You don't have to look for the old gear, just don't buy the cheaper stuff. The VB series cabinets are fantastic, very high quality and made in the US. Yes, they are more money than the Headliner series, of course, but they are much less money than the competitor stuff. Check out the 115 and...

You should try the VB series cabinets. The Headliner series is entry level stuff, like everybody has to have. The VB's are fantastic. The VB-115 has a Black Widow in it.

I played a VB-3 in at a show through the new VB-215 cabinet with the Black Widows and it killed! Really great round "old" tone, if that makes sense.

Buy a Trace Elliot!

No doubt, so I guess the "assembled in the USA" Heritage series is more or less like free range chicken. Just a bit bigger cage!

The reality is that most things manufactured in the USA these days use many Chinese parts at best, and in the case of some amp companies even sub assemblies. That's why they say "assembled" in the USA. I'm sure Peavey uses as many imported parts as anyone else, because you more or less have to...
