Mystery Warwick Bridge - Please help me

After some research I’ve found that it may have come with the brass bridge setup, and that the newer cast parts are slightly larger? So that might explain the router burn and the high action, but not the extra hole.

Mystery Warwick Bridge - Please help me

I bought this Warwick a couple years back knowing that it had had a repair (once I took the bridge off I realised the repair was pretty crappy). I took that on the chin, set it up and have been playing it since. I have been wondering more and more what is going on here. 1. what kind of bridge...

What all have you done to afford a bass you wanted?

TRADES TRADES TRADES. That the best way to get to some high quality gear on the cheap. I start with by scanning Gumtree (Australian buy/swap/sell site) and Facebook marketplace, always looking for good deals. Squiers and Epiphones and such that people are just selling cheap. Sometimes the deals...

Jazz neck on p bass body

If you're not connected with the bass and it's sound like you would be having it for decades then go for it! It'll change it a minuscule amount, not enough to notice. Especially if you're not well acquainted with it. I personally much rather the jazz neck or a P or a J. Have fun 8)

Help me find an amp setup for rock/metal/funk

Thanks a lot for the input guys, I'll throw in some other aspects. At the moment I'm not playing huge gigs, pubs and outdoor things. Things may change as time goes on so I'd want to keep volume options open if I need more loud. How ever unless the gig isn't with PA I am usually fine with a DI...

Help me find an amp setup for rock/metal/funk

Hi, I have a Spector Euro 5 (beadg), Emgs through an Aguilar pre. My board has a Darkglass compressor and a Darkglass Vintage Ultra, then a few other irrelevant things. The Darkglass is great as I can go straight out of the xlr out and give a tech the control (being a tech sometimes I understand...

    Preamp Bypass Question

Hi all I have a 2001 Spector Euro 5 strung with flats. Great bass, gets me almost all the tones I need. I run through a couple Darkglass pedals and some other things. I am however wondering if anyone has put in a bypass past the preamp or if there is any point? Would there be any tonal value in...

what basses haven't worked out for you... and why?

I bought a really nice 90's Stingray for fairly cheap. It was a gorgeous bass and it sounded unreal. Nice Nitro sunburst refin and it had crazy figuring to the neck. However after taking it to jam with some mates it gave me really bad hand cramps in my fretboard hand. Had never happened before...

Are you a 5 string or 4 string player?

After getting used to a 5 string as my main bass, it's hard to go back to 4. Having the lows to grab is great, especially in metal and funk.

Gibson Grabber with Rosewood, Is It Real?

I could find these, but I can't seem to find a natural Grabber with rosewood and a natural headstock.

Gibson Grabber with Rosewood, Is It Real?

Did they ever make Gibson Grabbers with rosewood fretboards? This one is apparently a 76'. Someone with the knowledge help me because I can not find any pictures.

What Case for Spector Euro 5?

G'day, just wondering what you guys use for a case? I am in Australia and it seems hard to get a Spector case. Any help would be great. Cheers

    Help me with my Spector

G'day, I have a 2001 Spector euro 5, pretty sure it's that as it has solid wings, Aguilar pre-amp and an NB serial number. It's dark purple but the back in some light is blue and there is a spot on the back of the headstock that had a sticker that is quite blue, so I'm assuming it was blue and...

I Finally Understand the P Bass - Kit Build (Pitbull Guitars)

The sound is most important yes, but I think it gets you in the perfect mindset when what your playing is how you want it to sound and look. Also if you can get something to play and sound the way you want, making it look nice or unique is just more fun!
