I found this whole performance rather annoying, but I want the SG the lead singer is playing.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I had the bridge cover off for awhile but ended up putting it back on. I normally play with a pick and rest my palm on it while playing. I'm actually to the point that I might be stuck playing only Jazz Basses since I like the position of the bridge cover so much.

Got rid of the EB-3. Traded in at Guitar Center towards an Epiphone Dot. Always wanted a semi-hollow guitar. I realized that I just couldn't bond with the Eb-3. I wanted to love it, but I didn't. It's not that it didn't have great tone, or wasn't well built, but it just wasn't comfortable to...

Yep. I love it. But it will never replace my Jazz.

Epiphone EB-3 and Fender Jazz Bass (Warmoth walnut body, MIM fender neck)

Depends what you're looking for. I've got an EB-3 and love it. But that doesn't mean you will.

That's what I'm afraid of. The neck has enough bow to it I have to keep the action way high or it has terrible fret buzz on anything above the 9th fret.

I'm having an issue setting neck relief on my MIM Jazz. I'm turning the truss rod at the headstock counterclockwise, but nothing seems to be happening. And yes, I did take tension off the strings before I adjusted it.

The EB-3 arrived a few days ago. It's definatly a totally different sound and feel than my Jazz bass, which is what I wanted. I love the way it looks, quality of construction seems to be pretty good too, especially since I payed $219 for it brand new. I'm not sure how much I dig the tone yet...
