Thanks, Thanks, so you mean it is better to have two 12' speakers than a combination of 12' + 15'? I also wanted to have a warmer sound, I thought the 15' would give me those extra subs for warmth?

So I have had the La Bella's LTF on my JB for some days now. My first impressions are very good. Smooth as silk, flexible but not to the point of having to tweak the action (which was quite low already) and I don't have that clanky metallic tone that I was try to kill by beefing up the bass...

Thanks for your answers guys. Yes I already bought he LTF's, they should arrive in a couple of days. I think I like the idea of that "dead" sound, that was my intention when buying the flats in any case. I will have to see if the sound is in line with my expectations once I get that far...

I see, how often were you playing during that first year?

So I thought that during a period of time the timbre and tone would change until the strings settle and keep the same tone for a long time?

Hi there. I have decided to start my journey in the flatwounds world buying a set of La Bella's (Low Tension LTF-5A). Any ideas if they need breaking in and what long could it take? I reckon it will depend on how long you play and your playing style? Thanks, Ribalta
