Labella Low Tension Flats through body?

I know this is an old one but here's my experience. I've had my Labella's LTF-5A for over 4 years now, strung through the body on my Jazz Elite V and never had any issues. I found this FAQ too where they say that they can break "assuming it’s not a “through-body” or Low Tension Flat bass...

Show your Markbass Mini CMD 121P / NY 121 stack

I finally got a second hand Traveler 151P cab. I think the difference is massive! I really love the tone. I was going to use it for gigs only but I like so much that I'll use it to practice at home too. Thanks everyone for your comments

Show your Markbass Mini CMD 121P / NY 121 stack

Hi @staurosjohn I know this is an old thread but I would appreciate your advice... I'm thinking of buying a Traveler 151P to add to my Mini CMD 121P. I'm after more subs and vintage tone. I play mainly Jazz, Soul, Blues and some Rock and Funk. I was wondering how was your experience with the...

Markbass Mini CMD 121P combo addition?

Thanks, Thanks, so you mean it is better to have two 12' speakers than a combination of 12' + 15'? I also wanted to have a warmer sound, I thought the 15' would give me those extra subs for warmth?

Markbass Mini CMD 121P combo addition?

Hi guys, I know this is an old thread but I will give it a go These are my tools: Mini CMD 121P + Fender Jazz Elite V. I mainly play Jazz, Blues, Soul, some Rock. I love playing some low Ebs and Ds and I was thinking of adding a Traveler 151P to boost the lows and see if I can get a more...

Fender American Ultra II series is here

I hope this is not too off topic... I'm no connoisseur of bass guitars, I only started playing during COVID and I used to play the guitar before. I really wonder why some people moan about Fender (or any other brand for that matter) reissuing the same guitars with minor tweaks again and...

Flat Wounds for Elite JB V

So I have had the La Bella's LTF on my JB for some days now. My first impressions are very good. Smooth as silk, flexible but not to the point of having to tweak the action (which was quite low already) and I don't have that clanky metallic tone that I was try to kill by beefing up the bass...

    Breaking in La Bella?

Thanks for your answers guys. Yes I already bought he LTF's, they should arrive in a couple of days. I think I like the idea of that "dead" sound, that was my intention when buying the flats in any case. I will have to see if the sound is in line with my expectations once I get that far...

    Breaking in La Bella?

So I thought that during a period of time the timbre and tone would change until the strings settle and keep the same tone for a long time?

    Breaking in La Bella?

Hi there. I have decided to start my journey in the flatwounds world buying a set of La Bella's (Low Tension LTF-5A). Any ideas if they need breaking in and what long could it take? I reckon it will depend on how long you play and your playing style? Thanks, Ribalta
