    NFL 2026-2027

It amazes me how genuinely surprised Watson is that people don’t like him. The silver lining is that a lot of NFL players seem to feel the same way, and are happy to remind him of that on the field. I feel bad for the fans, who don’t deserve any of it, but you could say that about pretty much...

Focal dystonia... How did it start for you?

Focal dystonia is, by definition, limited to a particular area of your body. If it were occurring in both your hands and legs it would just be dystonia, and almost certainly a sign of some more serious underlying neurological condition. Unless you have other mystery symptoms, I wouldn’t worry...

    Sterling as beginner bass

Speaking as someone with an Asperger’s/autism diagnosis, and with 2 daughters on the spectrum, I don’t know that I’d worry about callouses, but if it is a problem, gloves could definitely be a solution. I use Musician’s Practice Gloves to deal with neurological issues, and they should definitely...

    Post-Stroke Exercises

In my (unfortunately extensive) experience with physical therapy, I’ve found that a large percentage of beginning therapists ended up there because they went to some small college to play a sport of some kind, and ultimately settled on a sports adjacent (ie Sports Medicine) degree. That’s a...

    "Keytar" for LEFT Hand

You could always just strap on a keyboard, like Edgar Winter.

Cars of Historic Interest Ep 04: '84-'90 Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager

I seem to remember the Car Talk guys discussing the Grand Caravan when it came out. One of them suggested the extra seats were a good idea… so you’d have more passengers to help push you up hills. I don’t miss having Chrysler minivans. As a mechanic once said to me, one of those 90s/2000s...

    NFL 2026-2027

It will be very interesting to see what happens if/when the NFL eventually loses their antitrust exemption for negotiating broadcast rights.

Dick Clark's Live Wednesday show with the strangest assortment of musicians.

Chicago was mentioned in the intro, which is why I was confused that he was playing bass, since Chicago obviously didn’t need any extra help on bass.

Dick Clark's Live Wednesday show with the strangest assortment of musicians.

After watching the introduction, I had to look up James William Guercio, and apparently he also managed and played bass for the Beach Boys. He also directed Electra Glide In Blue, which I’ve never seen, but now have a strange urge to.

Dick Clark's Live Wednesday show with the strangest assortment of musicians.

He had me at Stanley Clarke and Charlie Daniels. Those two plus anybody sounds like an amazing night of music.

Dick Clark's Live Wednesday show with the strangest assortment of musicians.

Which is why I suspect the story involves a lot of cocaine.

I can't stand grocery store lines anymore

Self checkout is a whole other level of idiotic. It’s a well known fact, in retail, that most loss happens at the register. In part, that’s because there are some people who are really skilled at stealing stuff right in front of your face. To a certain extent that’s unavoidable, and something...

I can't stand grocery store lines anymore

We do most of our grocery shopping at Aldi. No price matching, and the cashiers are regularly evaluated for efficiency. There are still annoying lines, but they move just about as fast as physically possible.

    NFL 2026-2027

Whatever you might say about his coaching, McCarthy has a track record of making young quarterbacks better in a hurry. If neither Allar or Howard manages to look like he belongs in the NFL, it’s probably a sign they don’t have their guy.

    NFL 2026-2027

Chicago’s draft seems good enough, as far as it goes, but they still need significant upgrades on the defensive line. Supposedly they’re looking to sign Haasan Reddick to a 1 year deal, which would be a start, but hopefully not their last move. The center they drafted seems promising, but...
