After enjoying my Fender Tele for almost 4 decades, I've added a Shen 3/4 upright to my arsenal. They are each a total gas!

Yeah, I dance like Bill Wyman...

And the Rumble sounds good WITHOUT producing explosive diarrhea. (I realize that in certain genres, this would be a bug, not a feature.)

I had a Rumble 75, loved it. Now have a Rumble 100 - even better, (except can't lean it back). Good sound for small venues, and so light you can carry it in your teeth. Use it with my Tele bass and my Shen upright.

On my Fender Tele bass ('75?), my preference is a thump like a sack of nickels against the back of the head. From Carol Kaye, I got the idea to put a strip of felt under the bridge guard. I use a piece 1/2" wider than the four strings, folded to triple thickness, which I then slide into place...
