    Fender Mustang Club

Hi all, I'm sadly going to sell my Vintera I Mustang 60s bass.. It doesn't get the playtime it actually deserves and I have the chance of buying a used Fender USA Elite Jazz bass (which I honestly really want). And so I was wondering what the actual sell price is for a my Mustang bass. The...

The Fender Jazz Bass Club Part Seven!!!

A new one for my collection and an actual Fender Jazz bass again. Didn't really bother to take some pictures but here it is. A 2008 Fender Active Deluxe Jazz bass (MIM). I traded my parts P-bass for this one and couldn't be happier. It sounds really warm which is already a sound I was looking...

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

Yea, kinda. In conjuction with my MXR M87 comp (I need that one lol). Could be that the drive of the VT Bass DI also contributes in an awful sound so far. That thing seems a really sensitive bugger.

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

My Jazz bass became my dedicated bass for standard D and drop C tunings since 2 years now. For standard, half-step down or drop D I use my SUB USA and Ray34.

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

Fairly ok but also slightly squashed. So it actually could’ve been a bit of a twisted string.

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

I forgot about my thread here a bit, honestly. I’ve been trying it with just the compressor (fast attack, slow release) and it sounder quite better in general. So it might’ve been bad EQ on the VT Bass etc. For good measure I’ve restrung my Jazz bass with Power Slinkies (which always use for...

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

The full signal chain is: Jazz bass --> Boss TU3 tuner --> MXR M87 compressor --> Tech21 VT Bass DI --> Focusrite 2i2 It was indeed a bit confusing, my apologies. I'll try plugging in the bass directly in the audio interface now.

    Lowest string always sounds squashed

Hi all, In short: I'm a hobbyist/bedroom bassist since 2006 but it seems like I'm still too stupid to understand and fix audio stuff. So here's my question: as the thread title says, my lowest string always sounds squashed while the others are sounding quite clear tbh. How do I fix it? I just...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

About the neck: yes, because it's roasted maple. I admit I wouldnt mind if it were a bit lighter in color but I still like it though. Roasted maple should be a bit stronger than the regular maple necks. Also, yup, a Stingray should be in pretty much every bassist's arsenal ;)

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Hello, fellow bass people. Here's my most recent acquisition: my (already) precious SBMM Ray34, and ofcourse it had to be in 3TS. I have a parts J and P bass for about 11-12 years but always wanted a bass with the Stingray sound, or at least something that's really close to it. So here we here...
