    A.M.P. amplified music products CLUB

I recently had my BH 420 over hauled, and it sounds better than I ever remember. Here is the description of the work done, and some nice pics to show how clean it now looks. I am an original owner, I will never sell this A.M.P. amp: "Upgraded the 5 watt resistors in your amp to 10 watt...

    Flatwounds for a Fender Jazz

My MiM Fretless Jazz has a 10 year old set, and I have no intention of ever replacing them. Lowest cost per hours of use strings I have ever bought. I can go from giant reggae dub tone to ferocious mid-range mwah joy just with the onboard controls. Also, they are low tension and silky smooth to...

    Ampeg with Hartke together

I have been using an SVT-II Pro with a pair of 410XL Hartke's for 15+ years. They sound great. The only issue has been a loose dust cover causing a kazoo type buzzing, but that was easily fixed with some glue to re attach the dust cover. 8 aluminum drivers look pretty intimidating onstage IMHO

Yeah, it was a pair of 4 ohm speakers. Blew the head surprisingly quickly haha! I really need to get that input jack fixed, but other things are pressing, and it works really well with the SANSamp as a pre amp into a dbx compressor into the power amp input. Sounds great, very loud through my...

    Name brand Flatwounds

Came here to say that. Mine are 5 years old and I doubt they are even 25% of the way through their lifespan. A breeze to play and a joy to listen to.

    Choosing a Reasonably Priced Fretless

I have a MIM fretless. I find it to be very heavy. I also do not like the neck, but I have odd preferences in that respect. I find the neck is too thin. If you like the Geddy Bass you will love the Fretless. My advice is that no matter what bass you buy, put Tomastic-Infeld Jazz flats. You will...

    Ampeg SVT-II appreciation thread

I have been rockin my SVT-II Pro since about 2001. I bought it used and pretty beat up. Need tubes right away, ouch, but I was gigging regularly so no biggie. I have had soldering problems so bad I had to hot wire the effects loop out of the circuit. Now the pre amp has cut out on me. Works...

I would like to join! I purchased my BH-420 new in 1989, and have used it hard for years. One disaster when I used it live with only 4 OHMS of speakers. I have had it repaired, and it is my practice amp/small gig amp. My main amp is an SVT-II, but that bad boy requires 2 cabs. When I only need...
