Reverse Tele neck on, waiting on Brantley humbuckers now!

Just chiming in w my 2 Curtis Novak DS basses...a Starcaster I had modded w Darkstars and Dimarzio wiring & pots, and a Tele bass w a DS, Fender CS P and a pair of Tom Brantley Js. Curtis is a monster.

Got one yesterday, dig it a lot. Some folks don’t dig the channel w/out the uneffected low pass filter but I don’t necessarily mind not having a monstrous ass end on my sound for certain things, definitely see applications for that side of it in the future.

Late to the party here, but I have one and I love it. Definitely has its own voice, it can get thick and nasty if you take the time to explore the settings, and it pairs especially well with my Electro-Harmonix Octave Multiplexer.

Do you know how original it is? Knobs look aftermarket, possibly p’ups too.

Killer! The Curtis Novak Darkstar is incredible, and when you put the Js in series it’s punchy as hell.

I got one of these, loved it, and decided that maybe I’d use it as a platform to go the distance and made a Tractor-ish Frankenstein. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone lol.

I’m currently contemplating adding a Curtis Novak Darkstar between the P and the neck on mine, just to make it a bass for all occasions. Should be easy enough to get that routed out and in and replace the tone pot w another concentric set for Darkstar vol/master tone.

I have yet to gig mine but absolutely love playing it so far. Great neck, and the J pickup is way more useful than the other PJs I own. Waiting to give it a good setup till it adjusts to Nashville weather, I find it take about a month for basses shipped from California to settle into where...

You get it unboxed and plugged in yet? Very curious, I have one on the way myself.

Love my cherry burst Starcaster. I did however replace the knobs, much prefer these chicken heads to the witch hats.
