Easy fix...move the back strap button up 3 inches.

My Cort A4 custom z has Barts which I assumed are mk4 because they have 3 screws,but on taking out the EQ to convert to passive I noticed that they don,'t have 4 wires...just 1 and an earth. Does anyone know anything about this?

Because I only ever use the tone control at 0, I am thinking about just putting the cap on the volume pot. Am I correct in thinking just solder 1 end to the back of the pot, and the other to the output lug?

I have wired my bass like this but there appears to be something strange...the diagram seems to show an earth cable connecting the middle lug on the tone to the earth on the bridge vol. Pot. Is this correct? It seems, to me, that ,that would just bypass the cap.

I believe that the amp makes more difference ,as long as the PUs are at least decent.
