Tone cap on volume pot

Because I only ever use the tone control at 0, I am thinking about just putting the cap on the volume pot.
Am I correct in thinking just solder 1 end to the back of the pot, and the other to the output lug?

Seems to me that should do it.

Much easier to leave the tone knob at zero & if you ever want some brightness, you know where to go…
