Running this combination in the bands practice studio. The 18 sounds great with the 410, but by itself it doesn’t have enough top end except in maybe a rare occasions of Soul/Reggae stuff.

That’s the same speaker used in the Fender Bassman TV Fifteen combo I think.

The only time I really really pay attention to compliments or suggestions on my tone, is when it comes directly from the Sound Engineer. That’s a whole different feeling and can either make me feel proud when it’s good, or it can cause my OCD to kick in when it’s bad.

Boss GX-100 has input and output meters visible for each patch. Just adjust all patch outputs meters to be equal to the input meter when saving.

Probably a kick drum that’s to loud, plus the extra reverb from the backup singers, plus the extra little bit of bass the guitar player threw on his amp right before the lights went out.

I’ve been learning how to adjust the tones in my patches on the GX-100. I learned yesterday, that the noise suppressors act similar to a compressor. So, I dialed back the noise suppressors quite a bit on a few patches. Now where getting somewhere and sounding much much better. Now to see if the...

Just an update. The settings from a GT-10b translate pretty well to the GX-100. There’s a few effects that the Gt-10b has that the GX doesn’t, but overall it’s all workable. Meanwhile, played a private party this weekend.

It came in a few days ago, and I’ve been checking it all out. It came brand new with the 2.03 update. Sound is much improved over the Gt-10B. Drives are much better.

I typically run drives first then compression, then modulation. Works great for me.

With the gear you have, try lowering the bass EQ and raising the Mid EQ. Just a little at a time until you’ve found a good balance that brings out the characteristic that you’re looking for. Familiarize yourself with what the Gain stage and EQ can do on your amp.

Any new news on the GX-100? Everyone pretty satisfied with it for bass duty?

Is there some kind of metering on the B6 to show the input and output signal level. Haven’t seen it on any videos I’ve watched.
