    Favorite famous bassist’s bass

Wow!!! What a purchase. I grew up in Atlanta, loved ARS and I saw them at the Fox. I always enjoyed Paul's style. I met him once. Nice guy.

    Criminally commercially unsuccessful bands

Paul Goddard was a wonderful bass player. ARS struggled to make it out of the south.

I saw them in '80. They broke up for a while. Moses had a band with his brother that played in Atlanta for a while. They still tour in the states and in Europe. They play around Atlanta 5 or 6 times a year...it is still home for them.

What really makes a GREAT bass sound GREAT!

I picked up a Peavey Foundation 5 string. It is painted with a Maple neck - the first for me. I've always liked the look of a Maple neck and I am pleased with the sound. I'm not real impressed with the quality of the tuners, maybe its the age. The bridge is not very substantial and I believe...

Leave it that color and finish if you like it. It's an awesome find, but isn't original and wouldn't be even if you found a same year pickup. The pickup pocket repair is nicely done!!
