Yeah, I don’t know anything about the one for sale here but you can get them new on Reverb for $2600. And used ones come up for sale sometimes. I found one at MF for $2100. And there was a purple one on Reverb a few days ago for $1750. Not surprisingly, that one sold already.

I have an American Ultra jazz and don’t have any trouble getting snarl out of it. The active preamp adds some boost if you need it. But if that’s not what you are looking for, maybe a Spector? That will get you into growl, but it’s not really a J.
