Agreed, but the marketing term "tube emulation circuitry" can fool a lot of people. When I hear emulator, I think POD or amps at GC with little LCD screens and tiny buttons. A good pre is a good pre - tube or solid state, rackmount or pedal.

Agreed. I've only had mine for 3 days now, but I can't believe I lived so long without it. This weekend's gig will put it to the test, but the depth knob and USABLE tone knob (?!) put it head and shoulders above my sovtek Muff.

Best piece of advice I got: You can't play it right at a gig until you can play it at home ten times in a row without a mistake.
