I have tried D'Addario XL, Ernie Ball Slinky, DR Sunbeam, DR Nickel Lo Rider, DR SS Lo Rider, Nickel Roto. SS Lo Rider is my choice. But DR does not make medium scale Lo Rider... I would say Nickel Roto is the closest. D'Addario XL second. Avoid Ernie Ball Slinky.

I think in Japan there are already lots of brands making jazz bass and the jazz bass market is already saturated

Squire CV. I played one, was impressed. The stock pickup is good. If later you want to upgrade, just get a set of aftermarket pickup.
