Help with wiring dual musicman pickups.

Thanks gents! I never would have found it otherwise. Interesting bass to be sure, moreso with the added 2nd humbucker and wiring.

Beautful bass. Can you share info on this model? It looks like the Dean logo but I can't find anything similar through we searches. Thanks

Nordstrand MM5.2 & John East MMSR 3 Band 4 knob installation problem

Can you bypass the selector and go straight to the screw terminals on the East preamp? I have a Norstrand MM5.2 connected this way right now to an East MMSR 3 Band Preamp, and I have zero noise. I only had to connect the one green wire that came connected to the jack to my ground network...

Wow! Looks very cool indeed. Thanks for posting! Can you share which black monorail bridge you went with and how it aligned with the stock mounting holes?

It’s the being “a bit inventive with the holes” part and how everything looks with three knobs that I’m interested in. It’s not a big deal either way, but I thought it would be interesting.

Can you post a picture of your passive SWB with the blend instead of 3-way? I’m considering the same. Thanks!

I knew about the weight ahead of time thanks to this forum, so not surprised but was just hoping for lighter. I understand that this may be a dumb thing to hope for, in that the bass was likely intended to be around 9.3pounds for balancing purposes. But, regardless of how dumb, I play 100% of...

I just got a chance to weigh the bass. It comes in at 9.33 pounds. My Stingray5 comes in at 10.9 pounds as a comparison.

Received the white active SWB-1 on Saturday. Initial impressions: -The quality of the finish is good, and the overall craftsmanship seems good as well. -The fretboard edge is rolled to be very comfortable and the fret end tangs were obviously nipped or hidden in some way so that they are not...

Hoping for some shipping magic of my own. I’m in the US, so that might explain the delay. Can’t wait for mine to arrive! Great review of the SWB-1, BTW. It mirrors a lot of what others have said, which is a great indicator of consistency. Is this your first short scale?

When you replaced the SWB-1 active bass stock pickups with EMG, what all did you have to do? Curious because I’m contemplating the same potentially...but I am hoping I won’t feel the need. Haven’t received mine yet. Thanks!
