I have a Spector Legend 6 bass with active Spector tone pump jr. Electronics and passive SSD pickups. I was just trying to make sure that, if I were to switch the pickups out with active EMG 45DC's, I won't have to drill anything or have it be such a hassle. And I'd also like to know the same...

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards the spector. I think I'd prefer it's scale length, and I don't mind the size of it's neck. And I kinda want to try something different than an ibanez SR. Thanks for the feedback everybody! Oh, and Mark Michell is a great bassist btw!
