I'm planning on getting a 6 string in the near future and I'm unsure as to which one to get. I currently own an ibanez SR 5 string and I like it, but I hear lots of great things about spectors and I'm interested in getting one. I play mostly all types of extreme metal and and I like to play jazz stuff like Evan Brewer. So personal opinions would be great

Spector Legend Classic 6 or Ibanez Premium SR 6 String?

If it were me, I'd go with the Spector, hands down. I think you'd be happier with it, given the extreme metal caveat.

It's hard to tell from this way. Both basses can fit the music styles you like. If you think scale length is something importnant to you, take the Spector, since it has a 35 inch scale length. The Ibanez SR has a 34 inch scale length.
The EMG pickups on the Spector might be a great thing as well for the extreme metal.

My vote would be Ibanez, the 5 and 6 string Spectors I've played have felt a little unwieldy especially when compared to Ibanez Soundgears.

One of main things you should be considering here is the kind of neck profile you prefer.
Ibanez basses have tiny necks, and the Legend series (while not what I'd call chunky) is considerably more substantial.
Personally I prefer the Legend series, both in terms of tone and neck profile, but you'd really do well to have both in your hands before deciding.

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards the spector. I think I'd prefer it's scale length, and I don't mind the size of it's neck. And I kinda want to try something different than an ibanez SR. Thanks for the feedback everybody! Oh, and Mark Michell is a great bassist btw!
